Martin Sherwood - Senior Development Director, Kin Capital
Martin has been closely involved in both Venture Capital Trusts and Enterprise Investment Schemes since their inception, and is a founder director of the EIS Association, the official trade association of the EIS industry.
Martin works very closely with a wide range of Hospitality & Leisure entrepreneurs and has a significant network of investors and professional contacts as well as being a serial investor in his own right.
Lydia Forte - Group F&B Director, Rocco Forte Hotels
Lydia Forte is Group Director of Food & Beverage at Rocco Forte Hotels. She is the daughter of Sir Rocco Forte and the niece of Olga Polizzi.
In her role, she is responsible for the concepts, management and performance of the group’s restaurants and bars. This includes developing new restaurant concepts and maintaining quality of food and service in all the restaurant and bar outlets within the hotels. It also involves responsibility for profits, including cost control and driving of sales.
Before starting work for Rocco Forte Hotels full-time in February 2014, Lydia managed a new restaurant opening in Chelsea, The Markham Inn, and led two projects to update and improve two restaurants - HIX Mayfair in London and Bocconi in Brussels. She most recently completed an MBA at INSEAD in 2013.
Robin Rowland OBE - Operating Partner, TriSpan LLP
From joining Whitbreads in 1984 Robin has developed and led multiple pub & restaurant brands with other leading UK hospitality sector PLCS including Diageo, Scottish & Newcastle and The Restaurant Group before joining YO! Sushi in 1999. Over 18 years, Robin built this iconic fast-casual popular restaurant chain from 3 to ~100 company restaurants both in the UK & USA, including 16 franchise restaurants in international airports and the Gulf. In Nov 17 YO! Sushi acquired ‘Bento Sushi’ (supermarket kiosks and sushi supply company) base in Canada creating a $200m+ t/o group.
From Jan 2018 Robin joined the Trispan Rising Stars team as an Operating Partner and retains NED roles with Eathos, YO! Sushi, Marston’s & Caffe Nero (& sits on the sectors ALMR Board).
